Destination Wedding Travel in Chicago

A destination wedding is two projects at once: a wedding and a group trip. We handle the travel half — room blocks, guest bookings, and resort contracts — for couples and their guests across Chicago.

The part couples underestimate

The wedding is one day; the travel is forty people arriving across a week. Someone has to manage the room block, track who has booked, chase the guests who say 'we're coming!' and never send a deposit, and renegotiate when the count moves from 40 to 55. That someone should not be the couple.

We run guest travel as a project: a booking page for your guests, a live count, and a single point of contact for every guest question — 'when should I fly in?', 'can I extend my stay?', 'is the resort kid-friendly?' — none of which should reach you during your wedding week.

Where Chicago couples marry

The Caribbean and Mexico — Cancun, Punta Cana, Jamaica, Los Cabos — for the shortest flights and the most all-inclusive experience. Hawaii for the US option with a passport-free guest list. Italy, Greece, and Portugal for the European wedding. We know which resorts genuinely host weddings well versus which ones just have a wedding brochure.

What is included

Room block negotiation and contract review (the clauses about attrition dates and comp rooms matter). A guest booking portal with your wedding's rates. Guest management from first RSVP to final transfer. And for the couple: your own travel, site-visit planning, and the upgrade and perk programs that apply to wedding bookings.

How it works

1. Tell us about the trip

A short call or email — who's traveling, when, and what you want out of it. Fifteen minutes is usually enough.

2. Get a tailored plan

Your advisor comes back with a concrete itinerary and pricing — options, not a menu of everything.

3. We book and stand behind it

We handle reservations, changes, and the details en route. If something goes sideways while you travel, you call a person, not a hold queue.

Common questions

Does a destination wedding travel agent cost the couple anything?

Typically no — resorts pay commission on group bookings, and many comp the couple's room once the block reaches a threshold. Guests pay the group rate we negotiate, which is usually better than what they would find online.

How far in advance should we start?

Twelve to eighteen months for the resort contract and room block; guests typically book 6–9 months out. If you are inside a year, call us — the timeline compresses more often than not.

Can you handle just the guest travel, not the wedding planning?

Yes — we work alongside your wedding planner and handle only travel: blocks, bookings, transfers. That division of labor is the most common arrangement.

What if our guest count keeps changing?

That is normal, and it is exactly what the block contract is for. We negotiate attrition terms that protect you when the count moves, and we re-cut the block as RSVPs land.
